- Develops and applies Computer-Aided Design department (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems.
- Assesses architecture and hardware limitations. Plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software.
- Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters.
- Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.
- Has a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies.
- Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills. Prior knowledge and experience of CAD tool development are required.
Requirements:
- Typically requires no previous professional experience.
- Knowledge base generally acquired from a college degree or equivalent course training.
- Learns to use professional concepts.
- Normally receives detailed instructions on work, which is reviewed regularly by manager or more senior peers.
